A celebration of the joy of live music-making

Mark Padmore, Sophie Bevan and Roderick Williams lead an outstanding cast in two performances of Benjamin Britten's Peter Grimes, conducted by Ryan Wigglesworth; on Tuesday 2nd and Thursday 4th August

We are delighted to welcome Emilie Godden to the festival to conduct our opening concert with music to lift all our hearts. Hubert Parry's I was Glad, Vaughan Williams' Five Mystical Songs, George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue and Beethoven's 7th Symphony; on Wednesday 27th July.

Our choral concert will be Haydn's last oratorio, The Seasons. A wonderful life-affirming work written when Haydn was nearing the end of his own long and productive life. The performance will be conducted by Ryan Wigglesworth with Sophie Bevan, Mark Padmore and Matthew Brook as soloists; on Sunday 31st July

Emilie Godden will make her second appearance to conduct a Viennese evening. Johann Strauss' Overture to Die Fledermaus, Richard Strauss' Oboe Concerto with Emily Pailthorpe and Orchestral Songs with Rachel Nicholls and concluding with a selection of Polkas; on Wednesday 3rd August

A wide variety of beautiful and inspiring chamber music will feature the extraordinary musicians and singers of our Festival community. We look forward to welcoming you once again to the unique experience of St Endellion filling the rafters with joy and song.
