ART EXHIBITION 2024

Sea and Sanctuary

31 July – 9 August 2024, St Endellion Hall

Trevor Price, This is where I want to be right now, woodcut, 47 x 102cm

Our Summer Festival Art Exhibition features a trio of artists specialising in printmaking and photography.

Art and lifesaving collide in vast woodcuts by award-winning printmaker Trevor Price. A member of the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers, and their Vice President from 2013-18, Trevor is also a beach lifeguard in St Ives. His art is held in collections including the V&A, the Ashmolean Museum, the Fitzwilliam Museum, Yale University, and China’s Museum of Art, Beijing.

Helena Cooke is a freelance photographer and musician living and working in London. A lifelong participant in the festival, her photographs of the Cornish coastline capture unexpected views that can change in an instant.

Lois Oliver is an art historian, curator and printmaker. A violinist in the festival orchestra, her Endellion etchings explore the resonance of this special place, its curving rafters shaped by boat builders.

The exhibition is open before and during concerts. All purchases support the St Endellion Festivals Trust.
