Our 2022 Summer Festival Art Exhibition is a celebration of nature, featuring two award-winning artists based in Cornwall.

Artist and writer Peter Ursem has a special interest in landscapes that radiate ‘genius loci', a spirit of place. His multi-coloured lino prints, paintings, and drawings hint at invisible connections and stories. Peter graduated in literature from the University of Utrecht before training at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in the Hague and has received several Arts Council awards. His current studio overlooks the Tamar Valley in Cornwall.

Jane Wilson is an award-winning artist working from her studio by the coast in Looe, Cornwall. A mixed media artist, Jane uses a variety of materials including collage, paint, and dry media to create her vibrant multi-layered paintings. Her inspiration comes from living in Cornwall and its coast, landscape, flora, and fauna. Jane’s richly textured and colourful artworks celebrate the beauty and history of this extraordinarily special place.
